Editorial Standards

  • Editorial Standards

ZEV Help exists to help fleets make informed decisions about zero-emission commercial vehicles. These standards explain how we research, write and update our content, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.

Independence

  • ZEV Help does not sell trucks, chargers, fuel or hydrogen.
  • We are technology-neutral. We cover battery-electric, hydrogen and bridge technologies such as renewable fuels and low-NOx diesel, and we say when a technology is not a good fit.
  • Mentioning a company, product or program is not an endorsement.

How we research

  • We rely first on primary sources: federal and state agencies (EPA, CARB, U.S. DOE, FTA, FHWA), official program pages and the text of rules.
  • For technical and market data we use national laboratories, independent research groups and manufacturer specifications, and we label sources that have a stake in the outcome, such as trade associations.
  • We link to our sources on each page so readers can check them. See our Research and Data Library.
  • Cost examples and calculators use stated assumptions. They are illustrations, not quotes or financial advice.

Keeping content current

  • Regulations and incentives change often. Pages on those topics show a “Last reviewed” date, and we update our Regulation Tracker when rules change.
  • When a page’s facts change in a meaningful way, we update the page rather than leaving outdated information in place.

Corrections

If you spot an error or outdated information, email info@zevhelp.com with the page link and the correction. We review every report and fix confirmed errors promptly.
